My name is Ah’Ryan and I am in the fourth grade at Palm Terrace Elementary. What I like most about school is lunch, especially the pizza. I was one of the first students to join the Lemerand Center of Excellence
because I wanted it to help me become better at math. I am good at multiplication, but division is hard. My favorite subjects are math, reading and science.
My favorite thing about LCE is when we get to do STEM activities or robotics. One of my favorite STEM activities was when my tutor, Ms. Maya, helped me build a hurricane-proof house to stand up to fake wind and rain. We used a fan and a spray water bottle to test its strength, and my house was still standing after the test!
I also like the snacks and dinner that we get to eat every day. At LCE, we are open-minded to trying new foods, like today we had pierogis, and they were OK. I also get to take my dinner home with me if I leave early or want to save it for later.
At home, I read every day. Last year, I got two books at the book fair, "The Diary of the Wimpy Kid" and a Marvel book. I read those books many times and then I got more new books from LCE to help me read over the Thanksgiving break.
When I grow up, I want to become a scientist because you get to work with beakers and other cool items.
I have a big family, and I love that they are helpful. We like to chill at home together and watch Disney+, especially the "Spider-Man" and Marvel movies.
Every Christmas, my family makes gingerbread houses and that is a lot of fun. We also wear Christmas pajamas, and we get to open presents. My favorite Christmas present was when I got a Batman watch. This year for Christmas, I am hoping to get AirPods or a bike. One day when I am a little older, I want to try to cook Christmas dinner for my family.
