Embry Riddle Athletics hosted Food Brings Hope Night on February 9, 2022. Food Brings Hope KidsZone, TeenZone and FBHonors students attended Women’s and Men’s basketball games on February 9, 2022. This special night allowed students in FBH programs to experience a live sporting event at a university. Embry-Riddle athletes from the baseball, golf, rowing, and volleyball teams greeted the students as they arrived and served them pizza, juice and dessert. Over 500 students, sponsors, administrators, and chaperones enjoyed the games and evening.
This year marks the 12th year that the ERAU Athletics Department and Food Brings Hope have partnered in hosting children involved in the FBH KidsZone and TeenZone after school programs. Each student was thrilled to receive their very own basketball at the conclusion of the event. As he was leaving, Roberto Pacheco from Pierson’s KZ program stated, “Thank you! This is the first basketball I ever had of my own!”
