My name is Jasmine Harper. My five children and I live in Daytona Beach.
Last year, I became homeless for a few months which caused our family to be separated. It was a very difficult time for me when my children were separated from me. That’s when I reached out to FBH Community and sought their help. Eventually, I was able to find a suitable place to live and was able to bring my children back home. We are doing well now since we are back together again.
My advice for others going through a hardship is not to be afraid to ask for help; everyone has downfalls.
My holiday wish is for my twin boys, Jayden and Jordan, to receive tablets or computers to support their schoolwork. Additionally, I hope each of my children can have a new jacket: Jayden, age 16, size 16/18; Jordan, age 16, size XXL; Essence (girl), age 14, size adult large; and Evan (boy), age 4, size 1x. Lastly, I would appreciate shoes for each family member: Jayden, adult size 9; Jordan, adult size 11; Essence, adult size 9; and Evan, youth size 11. I would also like my 18-year-old son Jaylen to receive a jacket, adult size 43 and shoes, size 13.
My family and I are immensely grateful for everything and everyone who has assisted us.
I give back to others by helping them or taking them somewhere if they don’t have a vehicle. It’s not all about money at times. It is just the thought that matters.
