My name is Emma Castells, and I am 12-and-a-half years old. I am in seventh grade at Ormond Beach Middle School. I attend Food Brings Hope’s TeenZone.
The subject I like most in school is the band. I love being surrounded by the music as it soars through my heart, letting me feel whatever it must convey. I show kindness to my peers by helping them, and my superiors by staying quiet while they give instructions to us, and always complete my work on time to lighten the load on my teachers.
My favorite superhero is Batman, and my favorite princess is Tiana from "The Princess and the Frog." The reason I chose these characters is because Batman is strong and powerful, while also being kind when needed. That’s how he was able to get so many kids to be Robin, and Tiana is gorgeous. I love her story and how it plays out, and the villain is very eye-catching with his fancy movements and cool magic. My favorite movie is most definitely "A Dog's Purpose." Can you tell? I like tear-jerkers.
My favorite thing to do in TeenZone is play games after finishing our tutoring. Guess in Ten, hit the balloons up in the air while stacking the cups, and playing ping pong. They’re super fun, and I like to interact with my friends!
When I get older, I wish to be a famous musician and writer, as I love to do both things.
For this holiday season, I would love to have watercolor paints. I love to paint very much, so I would be happy to receive those. The school subject I like to learn the most is science. I love biology, specifically the study of the human brain. The human brain is extremely interesting, and since we don’t know much about it, it’s a very interesting topic to learn about! Sadly, they don’t teach biology in seventh grade.
I’m not a giant fan of sports, but I enjoy playing my instrument since it counts as exercising my lungs.
My family celebrates the holidays by coming together to celebrate our family traditions.
