4th grader proud to participate in FBHonors program Thursday, December 19, 2024

My name is Sarai and I am 9 years old and in fourth grade at Westside Elementary. I’m proud to be in the FBHonors program.

I’m good at all my school subjects, but I really enjoy writing and math. I love math because my teacher has taught me fun and easy strategies. Now, I’m great at it!

I like to show kindness to my classmates and my teacher by being respectful and listening to them. My favorite superhero is Wonder Woman because she’s strong and athletic. I also enjoy reading comic books like "Smile." It’s about a girl in middle school who knocks out her two front teeth and gets braces. This story encouraged me to smile more!

FBHonors is lots of fun. We make robots and do cool STEM activities. Right now, we’re starting a calendar fundraiser to help pay for our iFLY field trip.

When I grow up, I want to be a doctor so I can help people.

In my free time, I love playing basketball. My dad was really good at basketball, and I want to follow in his footsteps.  For the holidays, my family travels to South Carolina to visit my great-grandparents. We have fun, celebrate and eat lots of yummy food. For Christmas, I hope to get size 4 Pumas in pink or yellow, a pink Stanley Cup, and some outfits in girl’s medium or size 10-12.
